What age can kids do Surf  & Stand up paddle boarding lessons from?

Kids can start our group surf lessons and academies from the age of 8 years old they must be able to swim 50m to participate. Stand up paddle boarding from 12 years old We can teach surfing younger than 8 years old but these are private lessons.

What are the group sizes?

We keep group sizes small -  ratio 1 instructor to 8 surfers

What do I bring?

Please bring a towel and warm clothing, sun cream and water... Oh and money to spend at our shop.

DO YOU HAVE LOCKERS AND CHANGING ROOMS?

Yes we do – 6 x changing rooms , 30 x lockers,  2 x showers.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS NO SURF?

We can offer an alternative activity, or we can give you a voucher for you to use on another date.

DO YOU HAVE TO HIRE EQUIPMENT FOR LESSONS?

NO we give you all the equipment for your lesson. You can bring your own wetsuit if you have one.
 

DO YOU OFFER KAYAK LESSONS?

We can do private guidance lessons for this at £80. We will give you the skills to feel confident in the water. Please contact us to discuss.

WHAT IS THE LARGEST WETSUIT YOU DO?

Womens wetsuits - largest size 18  (40-41cm bust – 42-43cm hips – 6ft height) Mens wetsuits -  largest size  2XL (46-48cm chest- waist – 40-41cm – height-6.2)

CAN I BRING FAMILY?

Yes, we ask that family members stay on the beach when lessons are carried out and not to wonder off the beach incase there is an incident. We have an indoor area for parents incase of cold weather.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO CANCEL?

Yes you can cancel lessons providing you give us 2 weeks notice by writing or phone call. If you cancel on the day of your booking, we won't be able to refund your lesson fee. This is due to limited spaces for our lessons.

WHY DO WE NEED ID TO HIRE?

You need id to hire. We have had cases where people have taken our equipment, so we ask that ID is given and a deposit on each item hired for any equipment borrowed.

WHEN WOULD I LOSE MY DEPOSIT?

Deposits are lost for any equipment returned to us that is broken or misused.

ARE YOU A CRECHE?

No, we get asked this all the time we are not a baby sitting service for kids on the beach sorry LOL.
