Kent Surf School and Surf Club

LATEST NEWS

We will be meeting for a video night on a regular basis at the Barnaby Rudge Public house in Broadstairs. The first night will be Tuesday 17th March from about 7.30 with the main film of the night being Mr B's Substance. More dates will follow.

We also have a beach clean organized for the 29th March, meeting at Viking Bay from anytime after 9.00am. Come along and do you bit to help keep our beautiful beaches clean and collect some free stickers and a discount card courtesy of the Revolution Skatepark.

Anyone who would like to see a surf club are free to share any ideas at the above meetings. The intention of Kent Surf Club is so local surfers who like to ride our shores can get together now and again for a BBQ, Beach Clean, Beer or very very rarely maybe a Barrel !!

We plan is to use it as a place where people can meet, organize trips, share knowledge etc.

It could also be used a base of communication to groups like Surfers Against Sewage for any water issues, or Thanet District Council for issues that may arise, ie showers, beach cleanliness or other facilities.

We do not plan to have formal rules, membership fees, Committee members etc, however all members will have a say as to how they would like things to go.

All input would be appreciated so please feel free to email in with suggestions how you would like to see things go.

A good idea put across by Pete from the Big Chill is call the club "The East Kent Surf Club" this would be bringing back an old club which was run by Ian Stevenson and Co. back in 1968 and was one of the first to be affiliated to the BSA.
This seems like a great idea let me know your thoughts.
